Voting on election day, this Saturday 23 August!
After developing a positive plan and speaking with 100s of people across Chan Ward, election day voting is on this Saturday 23 August.
The only voting station in Chan Ward is at Nightcliff Middle School, in the gym on Aralia Street. You can also vote at the other three centres on election day at: Casuarina Library, AANT Centre (Darwin Entertainment Centre) and Sanderson Middle School.

Thank you for all the support!
More to do. Ready to deliver.
Councillor Ed Smelt running for a second term. More to do. Ready to Deliver.
Today, I announce that I will run for a second term as a City of Darwin Councillor for Chan Ward.
This Council election, I'm running because there is more to do to build a city where everyone has more opportunities to participate in community life. We have some of the best weather, sporting and cultural events, natural environment, outdoor lifestyle and people in the world. But not everyone in our community has the ability or capacity to participate.
Over the past four years, I've advocated for and delivered more local events, better infrastructure and cleaner, greener, safer places that has made a difference to our city. I listen to our community and include them in my decision-making and help people navigate complex government processes. On Council I champion open, honest and transparent decision-making and bringing community into Council.
With your support and my experience of getting things done, we can do even more for Chan Ward and our community.
There’s lots that has been done but there’s more to do. And I am ready to deliver.
Seeking your feedback from Chan Ward
In June we delivered a letter to the 8,500 households across the eight suburbs that make up Chan Ward.
The letter covers some of the priorities that I have been working on in our community over the past four years including:
1. Better Infrastructure
2. Cleaner, Safer Public Spaces
3. Greener, Cooler Neighbourhoods
With Council elections coming up on 23 August, I am keen to hear your ideas and feedback about what matters most to you.
